AWAM: Active Trajectory-Conditioned View Imagination for Robust Robot Manipulation
A robot policy that first imagines what it would see from better camera angles succeeded in 85 of 90 real occluded pick-and-place trials (94.4%), against 66 of 90 for Physical Intelligence's pi0 and 72 of 90 for Fast-WAM. The Fudan University and Shanghai Innovation Institute preprint shows that a world model can stand in for moving the camera, though the gain is smaller in simulation and absent on long tasks.
