Hyundai Wia said in filings on Oct 19 it will sell its defence unit to affiliate Hyundai Rotem for KRW 358.4 billion in cash and invest in thermal management and robotics. It targets KRW 14.8 trillion of revenue by 2035 with 27% from new businesses, robotics growth of 19.8% a year and a parking-robot mass-production line. Shareholders vote Nov 27; closing is due by Mar 31, 2027.
