Agility picks Nyobolt batteries so Digit 5 can charge in 9 minutes and work 20 hours a day
Agility Robotics said in a press release on Oct 15 that UK battery maker Nyobolt is the supplier of the fast-recharge pack in its Digit 5 humanoid. The new system gives 90 minutes of runtime on a 9-minute charge, a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio against 2:1 for Digit 4, which Agility says lets one robot work more than 20 hours in a 24-hour day.
The company expects early access to Digit 5 with the Nyobolt pack in the first half of 2027, with wider availability over the following six to nine months. For MEKAWIRE readers the timing matters: Agility's last disclosed private round valued it at $2 billion post-money in June 2025, and its listing through a merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI is now heading to a shareholder vote, so uptime per robot is the number investors will be asked to underwrite.
