Cosmo Robotics signs second Thai hospital for rehab exoskeleton, cleared in 5 APAC markets
KOSDAQ-listed wearable robot maker Cosmo Robotics (439960) has signed a contract to supply adult rehabilitation robots to S Spine and Joint Hospital in Thailand, Venture Square reported on Oct 20; quantity, value and delivery dates were not disclosed.
The deal follows the delivery in September of its ExoAtlet-II adult exoskeleton to Nakornthon Hospital, a 500-bed general hospital in Thailand, the report said. Cosmo said it holds medical-device approvals for its adult rehabilitation robot in five Asia-Pacific markets, Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam, and that its paediatric wearable robot Bambini Teens recently gained certification in Thailand and Vietnam.
The company has also pursued the US, EU, China, Japan and Russia. MEKAWIRE context: Cosmo and Angel Robotics are both KOSDAQ-listed Korean wearable-robot makers, and a hospital-by-hospital sales pattern with undisclosed values is typical of the segment.
