Agility Robotics said on Oct 21 it will open a 50,000-square-foot facility in Pittsburgh as its software and AI centre and East Coast service centre, and that it has added four unnamed customers in automotive, consumer goods and agriculture.

The company repeated that it holds more than $300 million in multi-year Digit 5 orders subject to contractual milestones, and expects its SPAC merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI to close in the fourth quarter.

Agility Robotics said in a press release on Oct 21 that it will expand in Pittsburgh with a new 50,000-square-foot facility, adding about 35,000 square feet to its existing footprint there. The site becomes its centre of excellence for software and AI, focused on Digit skill development, and its East Coast service centre, alongside the RoboFab plant in Salem, Oregon, and hardware development in Fremont, California. Employees are expected to get first access by the end of the year, and Agility plans to hire software and AI engineers, service technicians and deployment staff.

Customers and orders

The company said it has added four customers across automotive, consumer goods and agriculture, without naming them, on top of existing users GXO, Schaeffler and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and this week's pilot with AGCO. It again cited more than $300 million in multi-year orders for Digit 5, subject to contractual milestones. The business combination with Churchill Capital Corp XI is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, with trading on Nasdaq under AGLT.

MEKAWIRE analysis

Agility is spending on service capacity before the listing because recurring revenue from a humanoid fleet depends on keeping robots working, and that is where pilots tend to stall.

In MEKAWIRE's database Agility's 2025 Series C closings carry a $2 billion post-money valuation, and our Oct 16 explainer covers its customers and the AGLT listing. The four new customers are unnamed, so they cannot be checked against the $300 million figure. Watch the Churchill XI shareholder vote, the first named customer among the four, and Digit 5 shipment dates.
