PingpongDuo: Agile Humanoid Table Tennis Doubles with Safe Team Coordination
Researchers from Archon Robotics, the University of Hong Kong, the Shanghai Innovation Institute and NVIDIA got two Unitree G1 humanoids to play table-tennis doubles, alternating more than ten strikes in a row without colliding, in a preprint published on Oct 14. The real test is not ping-pong but two fast robots sharing one tight workspace, which is what factory cells with several humanoids will need.
