Robust.AI
Robust.AI builds Carter, a collaborative mobile robot that works next to people in warehouses and factories.
Robust.AI was founded in 2019 by a group that included Gary Marcus, Rodney Brooks, Mohamed Amer, Anthony Jules and Henrik Christensen, and was based in Palo Alto when it announced its Series A. Its main product is Carter, a collaborative mobile robot that can act as a picking cart, a point to point transport unit or a mobile sort wall in warehouse and manufacturing sites, with users such as DHL Supply Chain and Saddle Creek Logistics Services. In October 2020 it closed a 15 million dollar Series A led by JAZZ Venture Partners, which brought its total funding to 22.5 million dollars. Prime Movers Lab said in April 2023 that it had led a 20 million dollar financing in the company. In April 2025 the company said it had recently raised a round with APL Ventures and 15th Rock taking part, without giving an amount, and in August 2026 it named Marin Tchakarov chief executive.
