Unbox Robotics was founded in 2019 in Pune and builds UnboxSort, a vertical robotic sortation system in which swarm software coordinates small robots within a compact footprint. It manufactures in Pune, has offices in Delaware in the United States and Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and serves customers in India, Europe and the US, including Flipkart. In January 2026 it raised US$28 million (INR 243 crore) in a Series B led by ICICI Venture; part of the round was secondary capital that gave employees liquidity through its stock option plan. The company said it had grown more than fivefold year on year and was profitable.
