Korean physical-AI robot maker ROBOi (CEO Kim Dae-young) said in a statement reported by TechWorld on Oct 22 that it has appointed Kyobo Securities as lead manager and designated adviser for an initial public offering, targeting a KONEX listing in the first half of 2027 and a move to KOSDAQ in 2028, possibly under the fast-track route; the statement is not posted on the company's own site, so the figures are unconfirmed.

Before that, ROBOi says it wants to close a KRW 5 billion to 6 billion round from Korean venture and institutional investors this year at a valuation of about KRW 50 billion to 60 billion, and to raise a Series B in 2027 at KRW 100 billion to 150 billion.

The money is meant to bring an autonomous fireproof-spray robot for construction sites to market in the second half of 2027; ROBOi already works with Hyundai Engineering and Lotte E&C in a national R&D project that automates welding, painting and fireproof spraying at height with robots and XR, and it is testing an ESS thermal-runaway detection robot with Korea Midland Power and a cable-car inspection robot with Vietnam's Sun Group, with a local proof of concept planned for late 2026.

Kim expects 2026 revenue of about KRW 5 billion, up roughly 70%, and targets more than KRW 20 billion in 2027.
