CMES Robotics
Korean physical-AI company combining 3D vision, AI and robot arms for palletizing, depalletizing and piece picking
- Korea's CMES Robotics takes its AI mixed-case palletizer to PACK EXPO Chicago, opens early access before a 2027 launch
Korean physical-AI start-up CMES Robotics will show its AI random palletizer, sold in North America as the Mixed Case Palletizer, for the first time in the US at PACK EXPO International in Chicago on Oct 18-21, Korean trade paper Robot Newspaper (irobotnews) reported on Oct 13, citing the company. According to the report, the system recognises boxes of different sizes and shapes without pre-sorting or a fixed feed order and decides stacking positions in real time for stability and space use; CMES will run an early access programme at the show with priority quotes, engineering support and ROI analysis, and collect letters of intent, ahead of a formal launch planned for 2027. Chief executive Lee Sung-ho was quoted as saying logistics sites change too often for simple repetitive automation. The company has not published a release on its own site and gave no pricing, throughput or customer figures. MEKAWIRE context: mixed-case palletizing is where established players such as Mujin and Symbotic already sell into US distribution centres, so CMES is entering as a late challenger whose test will be the number of signed LOIs it reports after the show.
