HD Hyundai Robotics builds industrial robots, collaborative robots, flat-panel-display transfer robots and robot controllers, with its plant and head office in Dalseong-gun, Daegu. Its robot business began as a team inside Hyundai Heavy Industries' welding research institute in 1984 and was split off as Hyundai Robotics in 2017, according to the company's history page. Recent products include the Hi7 controller and the HDC series of 25, 35 and 50 kg payload cobots launched on July 1, 2026. In September 2026 it took a KRW 13 billion stake in force and tactile sensor maker AIDIN Robotics to co-develop a robot hand for its humanoid programme.
