Flexiv
Force-sensing adaptive robot maker with roots in a Stanford lab, run from Silicon Valley with offices and factories in China.
Flexiv says it was founded in 2016 by a core team from Stanford University's robotics and AI lab, and its March 2026 release describes it as headquartered in Santa Clara, California, with offices in Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Beijing, Munich and Singapore. It builds robot arms that rely on force sensing and embodied AI to handle contact-rich work in unstructured settings, along with grippers, mobile platforms and delta robots, and its Chinese site lists factories in Foshan and Zhongshan. In December 2020 the company said it had closed a Series B of more than US$100 million with investors including Meituan, Meta Capital, New Hope Group, Longwood, YF Capital, Gaorong Capital, GSR Ventures and Plug and Play. Its own timeline adds a Series B+ of nearly US$100 million in June 2022 and a Series C in the hundreds of millions of US dollars in June 2025, without exact dates or investor names. On 18 March 2026 Flexiv announced an undisclosed strategic investment led by Invus, with several existing investors taking part.
