Franka Robotics is the Munich company formerly known as Franka Emika. Agile Robots AG announced on 2 November 2023 that it had acquired Franka Emika, without disclosing financial terms, and the business was renamed Franka Robotics GmbH on 20 November 2023. The company builds robot arms with a human-like sense of touch in Germany, including the Franka Research 3 for AI and robotics research and the Franka Production 3 for industrial automation, and has shown prototypes such as the FR3 Duo and a mobile dual-arm version.
