About
Highlanders, founded in May 2023 and based in Toshima, Tokyo, develops the humanoid robot N with its mechanics, electronics, embedded software and AI built in-house. The company held a joint press conference with Mitsubishi Motors on 9 July 2026 about mass production, says shipments begin in 2027, and was selected for the GENIAC programme of METI and NEDO for robot foundation model research. N carries 8 kg per arm and 12 kg with both arms.
