Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance said on Oct 26 that from November 2026 it will sell AI Robot Insurance for autonomous mobile robots, including wheeled, quadruped and humanoid machines. The policy covers repair or replacement after accidents, liability to third parties and business-continuity costs such as substitute staff or rental robots while a robot is out of service. Cyber incidents are excluded and premiums are set case by case.
