Trener Robotics
San Francisco and Trondheim developer of Acteris, AI software that lets ABB, Universal Robots and FANUC industrial robots learn and run production skills, formerly called T-Robotics.
Trener Robotics, which announced its seed round in December 2024 under the name T-Robotics, was founded in 2024 by chief executive Asad Tirmizi and chief technology officer Lars Tingelstad and is based in San Francisco and Trondheim, Norway. Its Acteris platform replaces procedural robot programming with a growing library of pre-trained, production-ready skills and runs on ABB, Universal Robots and FANUC robots, with CNC machine tending in high-mix shops as an early use, and the company says it works with more than 15 solution and integration partners in Europe and the United States. It was one of two winners of the ABB Robotics AI Startup Challenge. On December 17, 2024 it announced a $5.4 million seed round led by Emergent Ventures and Engine Ventures with Berkeley SkyDeck and Raisewell. On February 10, 2026 it announced a $32 million Series A led by Engine Ventures and IAG Capital Partners with Cadence, Geodesic Capital through Nikon's NFocus Fund, Shanda, Emergent Ventures, Fitz Gate Ventures, Techable VC, Radius Capital Ventures and Raisewell Ventures, and said its total funding was over $38 million.
