Learning from Demonstrations meets Symbolic Control - A Supervisory Control Architecture for Formal Certification of Learned Motion

Ashok Kumar, Mahathi Anand, Angela Schoellig, Abdalla Swikir

Dynamical system (DS)-based learning from demonstration generates flexible robot motions, but existing guarantees rely on certificate generation to obtain formal guarantees of safety and goal convergence. We propose a symbolic supervisory control architecture that automatically generates a fail-safe backup plan, certifying safety, reachability, and actuator feasibility directly from the robot's dynamics, independent of the learned DS.

Learning-Based Adaptive MPC for Magnetorquer-Only Satellite Attitude Control

Patrick Schwartz, Abhishek Cauligi

Nanosatellites (e.g., CubeSats) have the potential to carry out useful science and exploration activities for outer solar system exploration, but their small size leads to tradeoffs between attitude control and science capabilities. Magnetorquers offer a unique compromise as compact actuators that enable three-axis attitude control, but suffer from a loss of control authority and require full knowledge of the planetary magnetic field.

Mixed-Reality Feedback Control: Towards Blending of Control and Digital Twinning

Melisa Soydan, Mario Gleirscher

Technologies, such as co-simulation, in particular, digital twins (DTs) are used for comprehensive and reliable prototyping, verification and validation (V&V) of control systems. There, the combination of feedback loops across multiple realities (e.g., simulations, physical setups) enables various forms of experimentation with robots and autonomous systems.

Probabilistic Physics Digital Twin for Human-Robot Interaction

Yushen Hu, Harshvardhan Chandirasekar, Apurv Kushwaha, Jonathan King, Zhu-Tian Chen

Digital twins are increasingly used in robotics to simulate interactions, predict action outcomes, and support planning. However, constructing accurate digital twins requires precise estimates of physical properties such as mass, friction, and center of mass, which are often difficult to obtain in real-world environments.

Dual-arm Cooperation for Tabletop Wiping with Temporal Object Removal

Pengqi Zhang, Longchang Yu, Daohan Li, Liang Yan, Hangxin Liu

We devise a dual-arm cooperative planning framework for wiping table surface in the presence of scattered objects. Unlike conventional surface-cleaning strategies that only cover free areas and detour around obstacles, our framework explicitly assigns one arm to rearrange objects while the other performs coverage wiping, thereby enabling access to previously obstructed regions.

Visual Sevoing from Lines

Nicolas Andreff, Bernard Espiau, Radu Horaud

In this work, we present a fundamentally new approach to visual servoing using lines. It is based on a theoretical and geometrical study of the main line representations which allowed us to define a new representation, the so-called binormalized Plucker coordinates.

Into the LidarVerse: A Real-Time Unified LiDAR World Model Across Tasks and Sensors

Henry Che, Xuanchi Ren, Sanja Fidler, Shenlong Wang, Laura Leal-Taixé, Shengyu Huang

We present LidarVerse, a real-time unified LiDAR world model for sensor simulation across tasks and sensors. Existing LiDAR simulators largely follow one of two complementary paradigms: reconstruction-based methods preserve the geometry of a captured scene but require lengthy per-scene optimization, whereas generative methods amortize learning across data but lack the consistency needed for long-horizon rollouts.

Full-Order Safety for Nonlinear Reduced-Order MPC

Luis Pabon, Johannes Köhler, Revant Kasichainula, Marco Pavone

Reduced-order models (ROMs) make model predictive control (MPC) of high-dimensional nonlinear systems tractable, but the resulting modeling error can lead to constraint violations on the real system. We introduce CoRE-MPC, a robust MPC formulation that plans with a nonlinear ROM and guarantees recursive feasibility and constraint satisfaction for the full-order system.

REFLEX: A Learned On-Board Reflex for Robust Autonomous Collision Recovery of Soft Quadrotors

Jakob Hermeler, Luca Girardi, Gabriel Maquignaz, Stefan Leutenegger, Stefano Mintchev

Collision-resilient airframes allow quadrotors to survive impacts, but do not ensure autonomous post-collision recovery. Innovation gating in stock onboard estimators often rejects valid external velocity measurements after high-speed impacts, compromising recovery.

SIGN-MAPPO: State-Intent-Aware Graph Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning for Cooperative Driving under Imperfect V2X

Zide Fan, Jiahui Yuan, Kaixin Zhang, Junhao Fan, Xiaohe Li, Yiru Wang

Cooperative driving at mixed-traffic unsignalized intersections is challenged by imperfect vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, human-driven vehicle (HV) intentions that cannot be directly communicated, and the potential incompatibility of independently generated crossing decisions. This paper proposes State-Intent-Aware Graph Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning for Cooperative Driving under Imperfect V2X (SIGN-MAPPO) to address these challenges through three coordinated mechanisms.

StreamingWAM: Streaming World Action Modeling via Chunk-Wise Staircase Flow Matching

Shaojie Ren, Jingwen Sun, Zezhi Liu, Hongjin Chen, Xin Jin, Wei Zou, Zhibo Chen

World Action Models (WAMs), often built upon pretrained video-generation world models, have emerged as a promising framework for general-purpose and open-ended robot control. However, their real-world deployment often suffers from discontinuous and jerky execution.

Mapless, Stabilizing, and Anti-Stuck Flipper Control for Articulated Tracked Robots

Valentýn Číhala, Pavel Sarga, Martin Pecka, Tomáš Svoboda, Karel Zimmermann

Nearly every autonomous or semi-autonomous flipper controller assumes access to an elevation map of the terrain under and in front of the robot. The terrain beneath the chassis is occluded in the sensors, so the map is remembered through odometry integration, whose drift corrupts it.
