Korean autonomous-driving software startup MotifDrive has raised KRW 6.5 billion from MYSC, Tony Investment, K-Run Ventures and BSK Investment, Platum reported on Oct 14; no company release was found, so the figure is unconfirmed.
The startup, whose software decides vehicle motion from camera video alone, ran simulation demos last December and in February and plans to show the system in a real car to global automakers and suppliers in January 2027, aiming for joint proofs of concept.
It intends to license the software to carmakers and parts makers and has set up a U.S. subsidiary this year. It is the second Korean startup round on the MEKAWIRE desk this week, after wearable-robot maker Hurotics' reported KRW 25 billion Series A.
