NVIDIA and Korean start-up XYZ open a six-month physical-AI robotics course in Seoul, 60 places for about 900 applicants
A physical-AI robotics training programme run by NVIDIA, with Korean robotics start-up XYZ operating the course and supplying robots, opened on Oct 12 at XYZ's academy in Seongsu CF Tower in Seoul, Robot Newspaper (irobotnews) reported on Oct 13, citing XYZ.
According to the report, about 60 trainees were selected from roughly 900 applicants for a course that runs until April 2027, with 760 of its 960 hours given to hands-on work: trainees take NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute courses on the Isaac Sim simulator and Isaac Lab learning framework and then apply them to XYZ's dual-arm humanoid DUS.
The building, fitted out with XYZ's robot-building system under a Seoul Business Agency smart-robot-zone programme, runs barista and delivery robots in daily service. Neither NVIDIA nor XYZ has published a release; the figures are as reported.
MEKAWIRE context: Korea's physical-AI push this autumn, from the government's Physical AI Alliance to project awards for Doosan Robotics and Neuromeka, keeps naming trained engineers as a bottleneck, and this is one of the first courses that pairs NVIDIA's simulation stack with a Korean-built humanoid rather than imported robots.
