DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH) describes itself as a local commerce platform that connects consumers with merchants and gives couriers, known as Dashers, flexible ways to earn. Founded in 2013, the company says it has expanded to more than 30 countries. On September 30, 2025 its DoorDash Labs unit unveiled Dot, an in-house autonomous delivery robot, together with an Autonomous Delivery Platform that assigns each order to a Dasher, robot or drone.
