About

RightHand Robotics builds a data-driven picking platform for order fulfillment whose main product, RightPick, combines AI software, intelligent grippers and machine vision to pick individual items in warehouses. Its 2022 release said it was started by a DARPA challenge-winning team from the Harvard Biorobotics Lab, the Yale GRAB Lab and MIT, with Yaro Tenzer and Leif Jentoft among the co-founders; company releases give the founding year as both 2014 and 2015. Its newer releases place it in Charlestown, Massachusetts. On 17 December 2018 it announced a $23 million Series B led by Menlo Ventures, with GV, Dream Incubator, Matrix Partners and Playground Global. On 23 February 2022 it announced a $66 million Series C led by Safar Partners, Thomas H. Lee Partners and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, joined by Zebra Technologies, Epson, Global Brain and earlier backers GV, F-Prime Capital, Menlo Ventures, Matrix Partners and Tony Fadell's Future Shape. On 14 August 2024 it said it had secured new funding of an undisclosed amount from existing and new investors, as co-founder Yaro Tenzer became chief executive from 1 August 2024 in place of Brian Owen. On 6 March 2025 it announced a strategic investment from Rockwell Automation, without giving the amount.
