Neubility wins Korean sidewalk safety certificates for two new robots as Baemin and Avride hand theirs back

Seoul startup Neubility received outdoor mobile robot operating-safety certificates for two new models, the 20 kg-payload NEUBI FLOW and the 10 kg-payload NEUBI SHIELD, the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) said in notices posted on Oct 8. Both certificates were first issued on Oct 7; the robots weigh 74 kg and 76.5 kg, top out at 7.2 km/h, climb slopes of up to 15 degrees and are run from Neubility's NCC 1.0 control system, and KIRIA's terms require both to wait for remote approval from the control centre before crossing at a crosswalk without traffic lights. The SHIELD model is also limited to 5.76 km/h on slopes of 10 degrees or more. The approvals came as two rivals gave up theirs: KIRIA posted on Sept 22 that Woowa Brothers, the operator of the Baemin delivery app, had returned the certificate for its dilly X2 delivery robot, and on Oct 2 that Avride Korea had returned the certificate for its R robot, first granted in June 2024. MEKAWIRE's database holds no verified funding round for Neubility, while the latest sidewalk-delivery rounds it records are Starship Technologies' $50 million Series C and Serve Robotics' $100 million registered direct offering, both in October 2025.
