The Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (KOSA) and the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) held a physical AI standardization strategy seminar in Seoul on Oct 15, organised by the Physical AI Standardization Alliance (PASA), TechWorld reported, citing a KOSA photo release.

PASA, launched in August under a science ministry ICT standards programme and chaired by KAIST professor Jang Young-jae, has about 20 member companies including Megazone Cloud, RLWRLD and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and is working on safety verification that links AI software with physical systems, lifecycle management and ontologies for domain data, and a reliability framework for moving simulation results to real environments.

KOSA and TTA plan to carry PASA's forum standards into Korean association and national standards and then to international bodies. The work sits beside the 2027 budget plan MEKAWIRE reported in September, which raises Korea's humanoid core-parts spending more than fivefold to KRW 62 billion.

Good or bad news for the company?
