Korean AI elder-care company Mister Mind said in a statement carried by Venture Square on Oct 22 that the control centre behind its AI care dolls in Daejeon's Seo-gu district got a resident in their seventies with dementia to hospital after an alert from her home at about 6:49 pm on Oct 20; the statement is not posted on the company's own site, so the account is unconfirmed.

According to the company, a staff member called the resident through the care robot, heard signs of a physical problem and asked the 119 emergency service to dispatch a crew, then stayed on the line until paramedics arrived and passed them her condition and a guardian's contact details; the resident was examined and went home the same night.

Mister Mind runs the service with the district government and says it will use the case to build up an emergency-response routine for care robots and its monitoring system. MEKAWIRE context: most elder-care robots in our coverage are still prototypes, such as Kawasaki's Home Leo, which targets fiscal 2028 ([story](/news/kawasaki-home-leo-physical-ai-social-robot-elderly-home-care-prototype-fy2028-20261006)); this one is a municipal service already in homes, and its value rests on the human control centre rather than on the robot acting by itself.

Good or bad news for the company?
