About

Berkshire Grey combines AI and robotics to automate pick, pack and sort operations in retail, e-commerce and logistics fulfilment, and says its customers include Global 100 retailers and logistics service providers. On 21 January 2020 the company, then based in Lexington, Massachusetts, announced a $263 million Series B with SoftBank, Khosla Ventures, New Enterprise Associates and Canaan participating, and said the money would fund global expansion, acquisitions and hiring. It completed a business combination with the special purpose acquisition company RAAC in July 2021 and traded on Nasdaq under the ticker BGRY. SoftBank Group, which held about 26.9% of the voting power as of June 2023, then acquired the company through a merger at $1.40 per share in cash. Nasdaq said the merger closed on 20 July 2023 and the shares were delisted effective 21 July 2023. The 2023 proxy statement gave the company's address as Bedford, Massachusetts.
