Intrinsic
Mountain View robotics software and AI group at Google whose Flowstate platform is used to build, deploy and run industrial robot applications.
Intrinsic is a robotics software and AI company led by chief executive Wendy Tan White. After five and a half years of development at X, it became an independent Alphabet company on July 23, 2021, and on February 25, 2026 it joined Google as a distinct group that draws on Gemini models, Google Cloud and Google DeepMind. It has labs and offices in Mountain View, Munich and Singapore. Its main product, the Intrinsic Flowstate developer environment introduced on May 15, 2023, combines perception training, motion planning and sensor based control for building automation solutions, alongside the Intrinsic Vision Model and Intrinsic Core, an open source set of ROS compatible capabilities released on September 22, 2026. Intrinsic acquired Vicarious in April 2022, with most of that team joining Intrinsic and a smaller group going to DeepMind, and in December 2022 it took over the business of the Open Source Robotics Corporation, the commercial arm of Open Robotics. On November 20, 2025 it launched a US based joint venture with Foxconn covering assembly, inspection, machine tending and logistics, and on May 13, 2026 it announced that FANUC was integrating with Intrinsic and Flowstate. Intrinsic has not announced any outside funding round.
