Neocis
Miami maker of Yomi, a robotic system that guides dentists through implant surgery and that the company calls the first FDA-cleared robot for dentistry.
Neocis was founded in 2009 by Alon Mozes, PhD, who is chief executive, and Juan Salcedo, and is headquartered in Miami. Its Yomi system assists dentists in planning and placing dental implants, using haptic robotic guidance that allows a minimally invasive, flapless approach, and the company describes it as the first and only FDA-cleared robotic system for dental implant surgery. Neocis announced FDA 510(k) clearances for full-arch implant treatment in July 2020 and for bone reduction in November 2022. In November 2025 it announced FDA clearance for Yomi S, a smaller next-generation system that a single practitioner can operate, paired with AI-assisted YomiPlan software that segments nerves and sinuses on CBCT scans, and in January 2026 it said clinicians had completed more than 100,000 osteotomies with Yomi. In July 2019 Neocis closed a $30 million equity round led by existing investor Mithril Capital Management, with new investor Norwest Venture Partners and surgical robotics pioneer Fred Moll. In October 2020 it raised a $72 million Series D led by DFJ Growth with Vivo Capital, Mithril, Norwest, Section 32 and Fred Moll, bringing total funding to more than $120 million. In October 2022 it added $40 million led by a dental industry specialist investor it did not name, with Intuitive Ventures, DFJ Growth, Vivo Capital, Mithril, Norwest and Fred Moll, taking the total above $160 million. In January 2024 it announced a further $20 million led by Mirae Asset Capital and Mirae Asset Venture Investment together with NVIDIA's NVentures, joined by existing investors.
