Capital Machine, a Tampa-based distributor and service provider for press brakes, metal-cutting machines and robotic welders, said in a Business Wire release on Oct 14 that it has acquired KC Robotics, a robotic systems integrator in West Chester, Ohio, for undisclosed terms.

It is Capital Machine's first add-on acquisition since private-equity firm Rotunda Capital Partners backed it in March 2025. KC Robotics has spent more than 35 years building custom cells for welding, cutting and finishing, material handling, machine tending, assembly and vision-guided work, holds integrator credentials with FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa Motoman and KUKA, and will keep its name under chief executive Kyle Carrier, the release said.

Capital Machine, which has showrooms in five US cities and field service in 22 states, said the deal lets it sell the machine, the robot and the integration as one package backed by one service organisation.

It is one of three robotics ownership deals MEKAWIRE has logged since Oct 12, alongside Stryker's $400 million investment in CMR Surgical, which carries an option to acquire, and FFR's planned all-stock purchase of Faraday Future's robotics business.

Good or bad news for the company?
