Suprema puts face-recognition search on Neubility patrol robots in Q-Face Guardian
Korean access-control company Suprema will unveil Q-Face Guardian, a patrol-robot control solution that links its real-time face-recognition search tool Q-Face Finder to Neubility's autonomous patrol robot Neubi Shield and quadruped NeuTrek, at the Korea Police Expo in Incheon from Oct 21 to 24, StartupN reported on Oct 20 citing the company.
Operators register a missing child or a dementia patient, and the system looks for the person across fixed CCTV and moving robot cameras and traces the route on a GIS map; it also alerts the control room to fire, smoke and people who collapse.
Suprema is testing the system in Anyang's AI robot demonstration project and targets police, local governments and public facilities, the report said.
