NEURA Robotics said in a press release on Oct 20 that it is working with NXAI, the company behind the xLSTM architecture led by Sepp Hochreiter, on a memory component for cognitive robots. The partners will integrate NEURA's physical AI stack, including its multimodal foundation model Neuron AI, with xLSTM, a recurrent architecture that holds and updates state efficiently across long sequences, so robots can track tasks over many steps and draw on earlier experience.

NXAI also plans to offer its own xLSTM-based model on NEURA's Neuraverse platform, where companies can fine-tune it with the Neuraverse toolchain, test it in NEURA Gyms and deploy it on robots; NEURA said Neuron AI will continue to be developed independently and the deal includes joint research.

No financial terms or release date were given. MEKAWIRE context: NEURA introduced Neuron AI on Oct 14, and its last disclosed round in our database is a Series B of $123.6 million in January 2025.

Good or bad news for the company?
