AutoStore said in a press release on Oct 7 that VILLOID, a Norwegian online fashion retailer, has chosen Pio, AutoStore's small-business line sold as robotics-as-a-service, for a new warehouse with an 80,000-bin grid.

The company said that is four times larger than any Pio system running today; partner StrongPoint will install it, with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. VILLOID had used Pio through Famme's warehouse before bringing it in-house.

In MEKAWIRE's coverage this is the largest Pio order disclosed so far, and it follows AutoStore's Oct 2 move to offer its main system as a service through THG Fulfil.

Good or bad news for the company?
