Augmentus
Singapore developer of no-code robot programming that combines 3D scanning, AI path planning and adaptive motion control for high-mix surface finishing, welding and spraying.
Augmentus is headquartered at Science Park in Singapore and runs a robotics centre in Pflugerville, Texas. It makes no-code software that lets manufacturers program industrial robots without writing robot code, combining 3D scanning, AI-driven path planning and adaptive motion control, and it focuses on surface finishing, welding and spraying in high-mix, low-volume production. In 2023 it said its software worked with more than ten major robot makers, including ABB, Kawasaki and KUKA, and served more than 30 manufacturers, and it claimed programming time could fall from four weeks to 15 minutes. By July 2025 it said it had sold more than 50 systems in at least six countries, including Australia, Singapore, Germany and North American markets. Leong Yong Shin and Daryl Lim are co-founders. Leong was chief executive at the time of the 2023 round, and Daryl Lim was named co-founder and CEO in 2025. On 14 November 2023 Augmentus announced an oversubscribed $5 million Series A led by Sierra Ventures with Cocoon Capital, to expand in the US, Europe and Asia, grow its system partner programme and step up research. On 9 July 2025 it announced an $11 million (SGD 14 million) Series A+ led by Woori VP, with new investor EDBI and returning backers Sierra Ventures and Cocoon Capital, to speed up regional deployments, work through its customer backlog and fund research on more adaptive AI-driven robot systems.
