Avride

Austin, Texas developer of self-driving cars and sidewalk delivery robots, part of Nebius Group, running robotaxi rides and food delivery on Uber in Dallas.

About

Avride was founded in 2017 and is based in Austin, Texas, with research and development hubs in several countries. It develops autonomous vehicles and sidewalk delivery robots and is part of the portfolio of Nebius Group. Dmitry Polishchuk is chief executive. Its delivery robots carry Uber Eats orders in Jersey City, Austin and Dallas, and the company said in October 2025 that they had completed hundreds of thousands of orders. On December 3, 2025 Avride and Uber launched robotaxi rides in Dallas with fully electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 vehicles across about 9 square miles, including Downtown, Uptown, Turtle Creek and Deep Ellum, with a safety specialist behind the wheel at first before a planned move to driverless operation. Riders requesting UberX, Uber Comfort or Uber Comfort Electric can be matched with an Avride vehicle at no extra cost. On October 22, 2025 Avride announced strategic investment and other commitments of up to $375 million from Uber and Nebius Group, without breaking down the split between investors or between equity and commercial commitments.
