Serve Robotics
Nasdaq-listed San Francisco company that builds and runs AI-driven sidewalk delivery robots and, since buying Diligent Robotics, hospital service robots.
Serve Robotics began in 2017 as the robotics unit of Postmates and became an independent company in February 2021 after Uber acquired Postmates. It designs and operates low-emission sidewalk robots that deliver food for partners such as Uber Eats, and in October 2025 it agreed to bring its robots to the DoorDash platform. The company went public through a reverse merger in August 2023, alongside a $30 million financing led by existing investors including Uber, NVIDIA and Wavemaker Partners, and its shares began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under SERV on 18 April 2024 after a $40 million public offering. Further capital came from a $15 million private placement in July 2024, a $20 million placement and warrant exercise in August 2024, $86 million from its at-the-market facility and warrant exercises in December 2024, and registered direct offerings of about $80 million in January 2025 and about $100 million in October 2025. Serve said in December 2025 that it had built 2,000 delivery robots. In January 2026 it agreed to buy Austin-based Diligent Robotics, maker of the Moxi hospital robot, for $29.0 million in common stock plus an earn-out of up to $5.3 million, and its first-quarter 2026 results reported the deal as completed and revenue of $3.0 million for the quarter.
