Bedford, Massachusetts maker of the Roomba robot vacuum, taken private by its Chinese contract manufacturer Picea through a Chapter 11 plan.

iRobot filed for Chapter 11 in Delaware on December 14, 2025 under a restructuring support agreement that gives Shenzhen PICEA Robotics, its secured lender and primary contract manufacturer, all of the reorganized equity. Picea held $190.7 million of loan claims bought from Carlyle affiliates plus $161.5 million of manufacturing receivables, while iRobot shareholders receive nothing and Nasdaq trading was set to be suspended on December 22.
