Maxinsights builds what it calls the data layer for physical AI. More than 5,000 paid contractors wear the company's own camera hardware while they cook, clean and do their jobs in homes, restaurants and hotels, and Maxinsights checks, annotates and curates the first-person footage for robot foundation-model developers. By October 2026 it said it had captured more than 2 million hours, 1.5 million of them model-ready, and served more than 30 customers, eight on recurring contracts; Genesis AI trained GENE-26.5 on 200,000 hours of its data and Dyna Robotics uses it as the largest data provider for Dyna-2. The company is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, with offices in China and Indonesia. It was founded by CEO Yuguang (YG) Yuan, previously a co-founder of Mega Gear Robotics, and CTO Kun Wang, an early Google X and Waymo engineer who co-founded QCraft. On Oct 22, 2026 it announced a $30 million seed round led by Peak XV and launched MaxLoop, a footage quality-control system, and MaxGlove, a force-sensing glove developed with Genesis AI.
