Spirit AI
Beijing embodied AI company building general-purpose VLA robot models and the force-controlled Moz humanoid, with deployments on CATL battery lines.
Spirit AI was founded in 2024 and is based in Beijing; Han Fengtao is co-founder and chief executive, and Tsinghua University assistant professor Yang Gao is co-founder and chief scientist. It develops the Spirit series of vision-language-action models, open-sourced Spirit v1.5 in January 2026 and launched the whole-body force-controlled Moz1 humanoid in June 2025. It says its models handle flexible wire harnesses on CATL battery production lines, and it has strategic partnerships with Bosch China and Schaeffler. Its newsroom lists a RMB 528 million Pre-A round led by Prosperity7 Ventures and a Pre-A+ round of nearly RMB 600 million led by JD.com, without dates. On 25 February 2026 it said it had raised US$280 million. It separately described two consecutive rounds totalling nearly RMB 2 billion completed in February 2026, with Yunfeng Capital among the investors, and said its valuation then passed RMB 10 billion. It later said it raised RMB 1 billion in April 2026 co-led by Shunwei Capital and Yunfeng Capital, followed a month later by a RMB 1.5 billion Series A+ round, bringing its total funding to nearly RMB 5 billion.
