Faraday Future moves robot unit into Nasdaq-listed FFR, guides 2,000 robots for 2026
FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem (FFR) completed its purchase of Faraday Future's robotics business on Oct 23, paying in FFR common and convertible preferred shares under a USD 200 million purchase price, Faraday Future said in an Oct 26 release filed with the SEC.
FFR expects more than 300 robot sales and shipments in October, about 2,000 for 2026 and USD 45.2 million of revenue in 2027.
FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. (Nasdaq: FFR) closed its acquisition of the robotics business of Faraday Future (Nasdaq: FFAI) on Oct 23, 2026, Faraday Future said in a press release dated Oct 26 and filed with the SEC on Form 8-K. The 8-K puts the purchase price at USD 200 million, reduced for outstanding FF Robotics options and paid entirely in stock: 1,315,313 FFR common shares and 65,475 non-voting convertible preferred shares went to Smart Technology Holdings, a Faraday Future subsidiary, which may not sell them for 18 months. Because Faraday Future controlled FFR before the deal, both boards approved it through special committees of independent directors.
YT Jia, Faraday Future's founder, becomes FFR's CEO while keeping his Faraday Future role; Jerry Wang is executive chairman. FFR expects October robot sales and shipments above 300 units, which would take the cumulative count past 1,100, and issued first full-year guidance of about 2,000 robots for 2026 at positive unit gross margin. Its five-year outlook projects 2027 revenue of about USD 45.2 million on roughly 7,400 robots and cumulative revenue of USD 1.98 billion through five years, which the company says is subject to significant uncertainty. FFR also named its robot software stack FF OmniMind. Faraday Future itself will turn to robotaxi operations and physical-AI investing.
MEKAWIRE context: we reported the USD 200 million all-stock transfer and the USD 2,490 FF Nova developer humanoid on Oct 15. The 2027 outlook implies about USD 4,400 of device revenue per robot (USD 32.5 million over 7,400 units, our calculation), which places FFR's volume in low-priced education and developer machines rather than full-size industrial humanoids.
