Noetix, maker of the 9,998-yuan Bumi humanoid, reportedly files for Hong Kong IPO
Noetix Robotics, the Beijing maker of the 9,998-yuan Bumi consumer humanoid, has submitted a confidential listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that could raise hundreds of millions of US dollars as early as 2027, Bloomberg reported on Oct 22, citing people familiar with the matter, in a report carried by 36Kr.
The company has not confirmed the plan and no filing is public. MEKAWIRE treats the filing as unconfirmed.
Noetix Robotics, the Beijing company that put a humanoid on sale for 9,998 yuan, has filed confidentially for a Hong Kong listing, Bloomberg reported on Oct 22 citing people familiar with the matter. According to 36Kr, which carried the report, the offering could raise hundreds of millions of US dollars and list as early as 2027, with size and timing still open. The company did not respond to Bloomberg and has not confirmed the plan; Hong Kong's confidential track for specialist technology companies, opened in May 2025, means no prospectus is public, so MEKAWIRE treats the filing as unconfirmed.
Noetix's website lists the Bumi consumer humanoid, the N2 and E1 bipedal robots, the Xiao Nuo robotic head and the W1 wheeled robot. 36Kr reports that the company was founded in September 2023, closed a Series B of nearly 1 billion yuan led by Chendao Capital, an investment platform affiliated with battery maker CATL, and set a 2026 delivery target of 10,000 Bumi units; none of those figures has been confirmed in a filing.
MEKAWIRE analysis
A Hong Kong filing would test whether a cheap consumer humanoid can carry a public valuation before it has published delivery numbers.
Hong Kong has become the exit route for Chinese robot makers that are not ready for the mainland boards: Mech-Mind Robotics and Huayan Robotics listed there in 2026, while Unitree went to Shanghai's STAR Market and AgiBot has been preparing a Hong Kong listing. Our robot IPO explainer tracks how those listings priced. What would make the story firm: an HKEX application proof, a statement from Noetix, or audited Bumi delivery numbers.
