Carbon Robotics
Seattle maker of the LaserWeeder, which uses computer vision and lasers to kill weeds without herbicides, and of autonomy kits for tractors.
Carbon Robotics was founded in 2018 by chief executive Paul Mikesell and is based in Seattle; its SEC filings use the legal name Carbon Autonomous Robotic Systems Inc. Its main product, the LaserWeeder, pairs AI and computer vision with lasers to find and burn weeds in crop rows, and by October 2024 the company said the machines had eliminated more than 10 billion weeds across 100 crop types in North America, Europe and Australia. It has since added tractor autonomy with remote supervision in March 2025 and what it calls a large plant model in February 2026. The company announced a $27 million Series B led by Anthos Capital in September 2021, a $30 million Series C led by Sozo Ventures in April 2023, an undisclosed investment from NVIDIA's venture arm NVentures in May 2024 and a $70 million Series D led by BOND in October 2024, which it said brought total funding to $157 million. A Form D filed on 22 October 2025 reports $20,849,318 sold to 18 investors of a $49,999,885 equity offering, with first sale on 8 October 2025; the filing does not name the round. In March 2026 Carbon Robotics said annual revenue had passed $100 million in the fiscal year ended 31 January 2026, with customers in 15 countries, and named Kevan Krysler chief financial officer.
