Nimble Robotics
San Francisco company that runs autonomous fulfillment centres with its own AI warehouse robots and counts FedEx as lead investor and partner.
Nimble Robotics, Inc. is led by founder and chief executive Simon Kalouche and is based in San Francisco, with further sites listed in Texas and New Jersey. It builds general-purpose warehouse robots that store, retrieve, pick, pack and sort orders, ties them to its own cloud logistics software, and sells the result as an autonomous fulfilment service for e-commerce brands. In March 2021 it announced a $50 million Series A led by DNS Capital and GSR Ventures with Accel and Reinvent Capital taking part, and added Fei-Fei Li and Sebastian Thrun to its board. In October 2024 it announced a $106 million Series C led by FedEx and co-led by existing shareholder Cedar Pine LLC, which it said lifted the company to a $1 billion valuation; FedEx also signed a commercial agreement to use Nimble's systems to scale FedEx Fulfillment, and Nimble said the money would go to robot manufacturing, deployments and research.
