Bestellalab signs data-centre patrol robot pact with China's SentriX Robotics
Korean spatial-AI start-up Bestellalab has signed a three-way agreement with SentriX Robotics, a Chinese patrol-robot maker in the Moonpac group, and its Korean arm SR Robotics to work on patrol robots for data centres, Venture Square reported on Oct 21 using material supplied by the company; MEKAWIRE found no release on Bestellalab's own site.
According to the report, Bestellalab will supply the software that maps indoor spaces, plans routes and tracks moving objects where GPS does not reach, while its partners provide the robot platform and run the field business, drawing on patrol robots supplied to SK hynix and Samsung SDI plants in China, with Korea's AI data-centre market as the first target.
No contract value, unit numbers or customer names were given. MEKAWIRE context: Korea's patrol-robot field so far is led by Neubility, Intellivix, Maum AI and Robotis AI, as MEKAWIRE's Oct 19 explainer set out, and data-centre robots drew an $80 million Series A for Watney in September.
