Pickle Robot
Cambridge, Massachusetts maker of AI-driven robots that unload trucks, trailers and shipping containers at distribution-centre docks.
Pickle Robot Company is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts and led by founder and chief executive AJ Meyer. Its Pickle Unload systems combine generative AI, machine learning, computer vision, sensors and industrial robot arms to unload trucks, trailers and import containers autonomously, working alongside people on loading docks. On 20 November 2024 it announced a $50 million Series B with participation from a strategic customer, Teradyne Robotics Ventures, Toyota Ventures, Ranpak, Third Kind Venture Capital, One Madison Group, Hyperplane, Catapult Ventures and others; the release named no lead investor. In the same release it said six customers had ordered more than 30 production robots in the third quarter of 2024 for deployment in the first half of 2025, covering pilot conversions, expansions at existing customers and new customers, at distribution centres handling goods such as footwear, apparel, power tools, toys, kitchenware, packaging and small appliances. Pickle said the money would fund new features and commercial teams to reach new markets and geographies. In 2026 it announced an integrated inbound-logistics offering with Ambi Robotics.
