Rendezvous Robotics, headquartered in Golden, Colorado, builds modular spacecraft that launch as compact, independent tiles and autonomously manoeuvre, align and connect in orbit, so larger structures can be assembled and reconfigured after launch. The technology grew out of TESSERAE, a self-assembly research programme invented by Dr. Ariel Ekblaw at MIT and developed further at the Aurelia Institute; earlier generations flew on Blue Origin's New Shepard and on two International Space Station missions. Joe Landon is co-founder and CEO and Ekblaw is co-founder and board chair. In October 2026 it raised a USD 20 million seed round led by MaC Venture Capital and Toyota Ventures, its first priced round.
