Watney Robotics builds and operates autonomous robotic systems for industrial work, starting with the construction of data centres. The company says it has worked for some of the largest hyperscalers since 2025 and runs a fleet of dexterous robots around the clock at sites across the United States, aiming at jobs where labour is short or conditions are hazardous. On 17 September 2026 it announced an $80 million Series A co-led by the Valor Atreides AI Fund and Hummingbird Ventures, with existing backers Conviction, Abstract, A* and Grant Gordon also taking part. The company said the round took its total funding past $100 million.
