NestedVLA: Learning to Consolidate and Generate Skills for Vision-Language-Action Models
A Hong Kong Polytechnic University method that generates task-specific weights for a shared robot model kept three separately trained skills at 66.7% average success, against 25.6% for the best existing way of merging them, while storing half as much as three separate models. The preprint builds on Physical Intelligence's pi0.5 model and is tested only in simulation, where it still trails separate models by 13.8 points on average.
