ORD-WM: Learning Object-Centric Rigid Dynamics for 3D World Modeling in Robotic Manipulation
A 3D world model that moves each object as a rigid body cut long-horizon prediction error for moving objects to 37.6 mm from 225.7 mm for a fine-tuned PointWorld (83% lower), and let a Franka arm push objects to within 2 cm in 90% of real trials, according to a Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) preprint. Each replanning step took 0.27 seconds on one NVIDIA RTX 3090.
