Towards Autonomous Bricklaying Using Boston Dynamics Spot

An off-the-shelf Boston Dynamics Spot with its arm built a four-layer curved wall of 14 brick-sized blocks without human help in all 10 trials, with mean position errors under 10 mm and mean yaw errors under 1.5 degrees, MIT and TU Dresden researchers report in a preprint. Each brick took 50.5 seconds on average, about 12 minutes per wall, and 63% of that time was walking.
